When it comes to events, they don’t get much bigger than Goodwood Revival. The scale of the time warp for 150,000 people from all corners of the globe is mesmerising and as Motul are a partner of the The Revival, we had to don our tweed.
To get into the vintage mood, we found an old workshop trolley online to take to the event as a means of transport for the oils in the paddock and customised it with a Motul logo. As part of the plan was to give away 400 2L cans of Goodwood Revival branded oil, the trolley came in handy.
Goodwood Revival is as much about historic racing and a vintage shopping experience as it is about networking and the Jackie Stewart Hospitality Suite was the chosen location for Motul VIPs. As these were indeed VIPs, we wanted to do something special as part of managing the ticket allocation and distribution, so we designed Revival-style invites and packaged them in Motul branded envelopes.
Once we had finished with spray painting the last of the envelopes, we got on with getting stock together for the Motul shop on the Revival High Street. After driving the stock down to Chichester from our warehouse, we reconvened with Motul and dressed the shop in readiness for customers to arrive.
Even if Goodwood Revival saw more rain than champagne poured at the Veuve Clicquot bar, we manned the busy shop over the course of the weekend, assisting customers with technical advice on Motul products, selling the Motul merchandise and welcoming Motul influencers for a giveaway from the Duke of Richmond.
